Dr. Michael Thomas received his B.A. in Biology from William Jewell College in 1987. He graduated from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 19911. He completed his residency in Neurosurgery at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center/Schneider’s Children’s Hospital, Albert Einstein College of Medicine and New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Thomas became a board certified Neurological Surgeon in 2001 and has since completed a Fellowship in Neurosurgical Spine at University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital and University of Miami Hospital. Dr. Thomas maintains affiliation with a variety of medical professional organizations including the American Osteopathic Association, the American College of Osteopathic Neurosurgeons and the Foundation for International Education in Neurological Surgery. With over two decades of experience as a neurosurgeon and researcher, Dr. Thomas brings a vast amount of knowledge pertaining to trauma of the spine and brain to the OLSS team.
