Dr. Cowin then earned his medical degree from the University of Florida Medical School, graduating with research honors. He completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Florida Department of Orthopaedics and pursued a year of specialized study in total joint reconstruction at the Bone and Joint Institute in Arizona.

Dr. Cowin diagnoses and treats a wide range of general orthopedic conditions, focusing on both upper and lower extremities as well as the spine. He has a particular interest in sacroiliac fusions and minimally invasive treatments for the spine and extremities.
